Ebooks are being taken to the next level with the use of generative AI and PDI are happy to launch Study + the latest set of AI tools.
For some time now instructor led training has been using an Ebook for course notes, as either a replacement or an addition to the traditional printed training manual. Using an eBook with eBook reader, like that provided by PDI, ensures that the IP of the materials are protected through encryption and restricted usage. This avoids the danger of merely sending a PDF of the material which can be quickly copied and published across the Internet
The eBook now enters a new phase in which generative AI within the reader can provide help to the candidate with Study + tools. These can take sections of the book and:
Summarise
Create a concise outline of chosen text in a matter of seconds. The generative AI will read and create a sentence-based summary of the key points within a paragraph, chapter or indeed the whole book if necessary.
AI study notes
Transform text into short bullet-points, capturing key details. Like the summery the generative AI will transfer the material into a series of short bullet points which help summarise and aid learning outcomes. These can be out put as Flash Cards
Q&A
Generate interactive questions to check understanding of content. The AI system will display questions (and give answers) to allow the reader to test their knowledge as they go along. No need for the instructor to generate such questions
Translate
Translate text into 130+ global languages with complete accuracy. Using AI translation allows languages to be translated to format native speakers would recognise. This is so useful when training in English to delegates for whom English is not their first language
Workbooks
Organise all your notes in one place and share easily with others. The workbook sections allows an area to be created in Kortext where notes, summaries and other uplifted material can be held in one electronic file area for ease of retrieval
The concern, of course, is that the AI is learning on the IP of the training materials and once it has done so, it will share that knowledge with others outside of the training cohort. However, our AI tools use only trusted academic sources within the safe environment of the Kortext platform, rather than the open web. Now you can enhance learning with the exciting capabilities of generative AI while safeguarding academic and IP integrity.
