Binding of Manuals
Manuals can be bound by wire - the most common format for the training industry - placed into ring binders or prefect bound (paperback book format). Wire and ring binders are preferred because they lay flat - allowing delegates to write in the workbook

What is the advantage of ‘on-demand’ digitally printing training manuals?
By only printing when the manual is required there are no stock holding costs and much greater flexibility in the process of updating manuals. This is particularly important if the training contains legal or compliance information. It also allows for the personalisation of training materials the materials can be updated to show client logos for in-house training programmes.
What is the benefit if of cost per delegate pricing?
PDI uses a cost per delegate cost model – this means we do not apply a minimum charge for set up and origination. One manual has the same cost as 10 manuals. We do this so you know the cost per delegate of any training course and so can better plan your cost position. Of course, if you have a requirement for significant volume, we are happy to talk volume discounts.
What is the benefit of an on-line catalogue of training manuals?
Some on-line digital manual printing companies will ask you to load the artwork for each job, together with the detailed specification. We operate an online catalogue. Once your artwork is in our system you simply need to choose the number of copies and delivery details. – see the video for how this works.
The system is designed for training companies – we will ask not only for the required delivery date but also the course start date. We do this because we track every parcel and can intervene if we think the carrier has erred - we understand training.
We do not charge for the on-line system which is password protected and private to you and the users in your training company.
Can I include other items with my training manual?
Yes - we can print the delegate list, additional handouts, posters and tents cards. We can also include pens, notebooks, giveaways and anything else needed for the training course - the whole pack. Each of these items will appear in your personal on-line catalogue to be called off when required.
What is the benefit of using a specialist training manual printer?
We understand the industry – deadlines and last-minute delegates. Too often printing companies will tell you they will be despatching a couple of days later. But a training course starts on time and is a drop-dead date. We have worked in training for 25 years, we get it!
Ordering from the catalogue will se e a despatch within 48 hours. We are also aware of last-minute needs and the additional last minute delegate and will often beat that 48 hour deadline we you need us to so. We use technology but are not driven by it, real people willing to help you succeed.
