Plain postal box

Made from E flute corrugated covered with a smooth white paper stock. These come in a large variety of standard sizes and therefore provide an economic solution. Sizes range from small enough to pass through a letter box up to 600mm x 500mm x 250mm

The boxes also come in a range of about a dozen different standard  colours – blue, black, yellow green, purple etc. Whilst they will not match your brand pantone they do lift the quality of presentation. Typically costs will be £5-7 depending on sizes and quantity

Plain boxes can be enhanced with a logo by printing to a clear label – which provides a cost effective solution.

Printed postal boxes

The same range of postal boxes can also be printed, either as a simple screen print of the logo to the top or inside the box. You should not need a designer for this we can help. We just need a vector file of your logo.

Of course the box can be fully printed, inside and out, but here you will need a designer although we have artwork templates to help the process. The results can be stunning.

Once the decision to print across the box is made, then the restriction to standard sizes is effectively lifted.

Rigid Board Boxes

The next step up, is to move away from the e flute corrugated board to a paper over rigid board. For small quantities used for corporate gifts this can mean £8-10 per box. But again, there are a variety of standard sizes, although the colour range tends to be limited to black, white, gold or silver grey.

Rigid boxes comes a few styles, the base and lid, and single piece box which can either have a magnetic or ribbon closure. Whilst these are more expensive, they definitely have the ‘wow’ factor.

Boxes can be branded with screen print and foil to give a logo with quality feel

Filler

Having chosen your box - we can help with the determining of box size – and the items to go in it, the final choice is a filler. It is possible to have a cardboard insert cut out for the products. Most clients chose either a shredded paper filler or tissue filler. Beter for the environment that polystyrene fillers and paper fillers can be coloured to match the branding.

Alternatively there is the option to create an inner insert made to keep products in place  - card board inserts are not especially expensive however there will be an initial tooling cost involved. That means unless the box and insert are to be used repeatedly – this may make the pack too costly.

Samples

PDI would have a strong view that the best way is see some samples of the various boxes together with a quotation, then an informed decision can be made
